The Bigelow High School Band has earned First Place in the 2A classification at the Arkansas State Concert Assessment, topping 14 other schools from across the state to claim the title of State Champion Ensemble.
This honor comes with a special distinction: next year, the Bigelow band will return not as competitors, but as the featured Honor Ensemble for the 2A classification. Rather than being judged, they will perform in exhibition at the close of the contest . This is a recognition reserved exclusively for the reigning state champion.
